Why do I need a vector image, and how do I get bitmap image converted to vector?

Having a vector graphic or logo enables you to have the image reproduced as large or as small as you want and on any type of medium (even on a billboard). A bitmap image will have size (scaling) and design limitations. For instance, you may not be able to print your image on a large banner, or change any attributes of the bitmap image because it is flattented. Thus, you cannot manipulate the bitmap to suit your design.

Sometimes you may not have access to your original vector file. Perhaps the original vector file got lost, or the original designer never gave you a vector copy of your vector file. Common vector formats include: .AI files, .EPS files, .PDF files and .CDR files.

We can help you convert your bitmap image to a vector graphic so that you can open your image or logo in Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or other vector editing software programs. We charge less to do this when you already have a bitmap (or unflattened image), than we would to do a full-blown design project (because the concept and design is already done).  We only charge you for the time it takes us to recreate your bitmap to vector.

At the end of the project we will provide you with an unflattened Adobe Illustrator file that you or another graphic designer can modify, use to print, use on the web, use in a video, use in a movie or use in an Flash animation.  We will never hold your vector file hostage! However, keep us in mind we do more than convert bitmaps to vector. We specialize in creating print graphics, web graphics, video graphics and Flash animations.
